Quests, Dailies, and Heroics, Oh my!

I've been busy these last couple of weeks. Not of work (though i do work my butt off there), but with working on Kaldalon, my hunter. After getting him to level 80, I spent the time to work on the remaining quests in the zones that I hadn't finished (Zul'Drak, Sholazar Basin, Icecrown, and Storm Peaks), rep dailies, Argent Tournament, Wintergrasp, and Heroic Dungeons.

So far, I've completed Zul'Drak and Sholazar Basin quests and halfway through Icecrown. Don't even ask me about Storm Peaks. I know I've probably had plenty of time to get through those two areas, but with the Argent Tournament, Wintergrasp and Heroic Dungeons, I've been busy. I'm starting to get some decent gear, mostly PvP gear, but compared to what I had, it is an improvement.

So what is the point of all my work? I'm getting my hunter geared so getting through the heroics will be easier, but also to grind emblems and seals but for Heirlooms. What is the point of being an altamaniac if you aren't planning on play alts? Am I not right? So what is my plan, you may ask. Well, here it is...

1. Continue heroic dailies and dungeon runs which gets the emblems and better gear for my hunter. (Two Birds, One Stone)
2. Grind through Argent Tournament dailies to get Champions Seals.
3. Champion Argent Crusade by wearing their tabard while running heroics to get exalted. Need this to open up more Argent Tournament dailies, more dailies equals more seals.

While I'll be concentrating on these tasks, I will continue with zone quests,, rep dailies, and Wintergrasp to break the repetitious cycle. If all things go well, I'll have gathered enough Emblems and Champions Seals to purchase not only 1, but two Heirloom items, one from the emblems and one from the seals. The two items that I'm looking at are Polished Spaulders of Valor and Polished Breastplate of Valor. So can anyone guess to what class that my next major alt will be? Warrior!...of Light, so yes, that means, I'm going to begin to play a Paladin. The only next that I'll need to get is the Bloodied Arcanite Reaper. The only thing is for aesthetic purposes, I would have preferred to have a two-handed Mace instead of two-handed Ax. A paladin just screams Mace over Ax, but I'll just have to take what I can get. Though, the nice thing is that once I get these 3 items, I will be able to use them for a full-fledged Warrior...say when Cataclysm comes out. A Warrior Worgen sounds pretty good, don't it?

Anyway, I think I've been long winded enough today. I need to jump back on the game and continue to work on my game plan. Until next time...

Switching Gears

Whoa! What happened?! Last thing I remember I was working on leveling my Night Elf Rogue. Well, nothing too bad happened. I decided to switch gears mid-way in my leveling. While leveling in the Outlands, I decided to start playing my Hunter again, Kaldalon, who I had stopped playing last year. He was last seen in the Tanaris desert probably fuming while the dust collected in his boots.

Before you think that I got rid of my Rogue, I still have her, she is currently level 66 sitting pretty in the Outlands waiting for me to finish up leveling Kaldalon, which as of today, reached the lofty goal of level 80. Now before you think that I'm going to drop him to go back to my rogue to get her to level 80, the answer is two fold. Yes, I am going to go back to the Outlands to get her leveled, but not immediately.

While playing the game off and on the last few months, I came to realize what is important to me in terms of playing. Am I a hardcore gamer? Yes! Do I want to experience as much content that I can? Yes! Do I have the time to do everything that I want to? Not really, but I do try to do what I can. With me being a full time worker, dad, and husband, I don't get much time to play. I have to try and fit it in when I can.

I've always enjoyed playing my Hunter even when I played on Skywall with my Orc Hunter. Heck, I was one of the few Horde Hunters with a Ghost Saber as my pet, but I digress. While Kaldalon has become my main once again, I still plan to enjoy all the other race/class combinations that I can with all the different profession combination thrown into the mix.

So as it stands at the moment, I will be running with my Hunter for awhile leveling up his gear and working on the dailies available to him. Right now, my currently goals are:

1. Earn enough money to purchase Cold-Weather Flying (about 600 gold to go)
2. Purchase an epic flying mount (only one I, Magic Broom, is only good during Hallow's End)
3. Work on Cooking Dailies to get 100 Cooking Award (already about halfway there)
4. Begin working on getting Heirloom Items for my alts (either by running heroics, Wintergrasp, or Argent Tournament)

These are my current goals. Follow me while I work on them or change them up. Only time will tell, but in the mean time...Eat, Sleep, and Game!

30 down, 50 to go

Well, I've just started my vacation and have big plans to level my rogue. Early this morning I achieved level 30. Yay, mount time! Now I don't have to run around to every location, I can just jump on my Striped Nightsaber and go. Currently finishing up a few quests in Redridge Mountains before heading to Duskwood. Hard to believe I haven't been through yet to do any of the quests, which I usually have done by now.

Need to run through a few of the dungeons because my sword and dagger are becoming a little worse for the wear. I've had both since level 22 and they are doing good for now, but are quickly needing to be replaced. My thrown weapon was replaced from Thick Bronze Darts to Deadly Throwing Axe. I know I lose the strength stat, but the addition DPS keeps up with my mobs.

Plan for the next couple of days is to continue to level and hopeful gain a few more levels. I hope to make it to 40 by the end of my vacation. It would be doable if I didn't have other responsibilities to worry about. Well, we have a week to see what will become of Twytch. Until next time...

My Alts

It is hard to find ideas to post about. I've been trying to think of a topic and have decided. As I post, I'll reference my currently toons. Well, most probably don't know me, or what type of race and classes that I currently play. Here is a brief description of my current.

Kaldalon (my main and source of gold making)
Level 53
Night Elf Hunter

Twytch (my current leveling agenda)
Level 24
Night Elf Rogue

Chrysis
Level 59
Night Elf Death Knight

Alaru
Level 22
Draenei Mage

Maelon
Level 14
Night Elf Druid

Keyva
Level 16
Human Warlock

Potarna
Level 8
Draenei Shaman

All these on the save server. I've got others on at least 6 other servers, but these are the current ones that I'm playing on. There are probably two distinct things that you may have noticed. A majority of my characters on this server are Night Elf and I have a Death Knight but no other character over 55. First of all, I've played other races, but I've always enjoyed Night Elves over all the other Alliance races. As far as the Death Knight, I have two Horde characters over level 60 (the highest only being 63) which because of recent patches allowed me to create my Death Knight on this server.

These are my toons on the Blade's Edge Server US. I don't get much time to play because of full time jobs (work and son), but when I do play I try and have as much fun as I possibly can. That is the whole point of the game, right? Until next time...

The Beginning

I have decided to start a blog...about what some may ask. Well, anything that I can think of at that moment. Most of this blog will be about games since that is an important aspect of my life. The current most time consuming game that I play at the moment, and the one most of the focus will probably be on, is World of Warcraft or WoW for short.

Those who know me and those who will know me will come to find, while I am a casual player, I am also an altaholic...nah, an altamaniac. Why do I say this? I first came to the game as a human warlock, then tried my hand at night elf druid, then human warrior, then undead warlock, then orc hunter, then...well, the list goes on, and on, and on. I've tried a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Have I experience everything? No. Have I experience most of each class? No. Have I enjoyed the time that I've just played? Yes.

In future posts, I'll talk about my experiences. Among other things of course. Until next time!
