Coming To Fruition

In case it hasn't been guessed, my return to the World of Warcraft is coming. Sadly I've been unable to play for the last several months ever since the Cataclysm pre-patch. Sadly the system I was using was too ancient to handle to upgraded patch. Tried as I might to work around the problem, I had to step away from the game. I used the time though to catch up on other games that I've wanted to play and spend time with my family.

Over the last two months, my friends and I have been working together to figure out a way to bring me back. I had to get both the new Cataclysm expansion and a new or at least new to me system. About three weeks ago, I managed to get a copy of the collector's edition expansion. I wished it was as easy to the other previous expansions than it was to get this one. I still can look around and see the collector's edition on sale.

The final piece fell into place over the last couple of days. I managed to get a whole new system. Not over the top, but enough for what I need to play.

As of yet, I haven't hooked it up. I know I'm slow, but I still had to clean up the space where it was going. It was so unexpected that I jumped on the chance and now have the final piece of the puzzle. So while I write this on my older system, when I return I will be back in the World once again.

Soon...

As the earth shakes, cracks form along the ground spreading wide with each tremor. Within the darkness of the earth, a hand reaches grasping the edge. Slowly a figure emerges lifting himself from the crevice. His clothes are ripped and covered in ash. His face is caked in the earthen soil. He stands as the edge looking down at the crack from whence he came. In his arms, he grips tightly a box...

Rumblings

The ground begins to shake with small tremors...

Uh...Sorry?!

Here it is over a month since my last post. Whatever happened to my schedule? Well, I've had a few real life issues creep up and between leveling my rogue and busy work schedule, I haven't had much time to get online to do a post.

As it stands now, I'll just give a quick update.

Odlaw - Undead Rogue - Currently standing at 77 with his first title *the Noble*
Kaldalon - Orc Hunter - Started him and worked him up to level 10
Zazue - Blood Elf Mage - Currently level 10, played with Noblegarden a bit to get Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit

I've also got my Death Knight, Paladin, and Shaman sitting waiting for me to come back. I started a Druid and Warlock as well, but they are only as far as the first starting area.

Anyway, I'm slowly working on my characters. Hopefully the next time I post something I'll be able to say that I have another character to 80. Until next time...

Ahead of the Plan

Another Tuesday is here, and I'm progressing steadily toward level 80 for my rogue, Odlaw. As of late last night, I'm sitting in Tanaris at 45, about 25% more to go before dinging 46. Yesterday was a busy day of leveling where i was able to jump 3, almost 4, levels. I keep edging closer and closer to the final goal.

When I started back a few weeks ago, I had rough sketch as to method to reach the lofty level 80. It was my intention to level about 10 levels a week, which for the first 60 levels, in my opinion, is a plausible goal. So far I've kept up with my goal, and in truth stayed ahead by a few levels. Today was my goal to be level 40, so as you see, I've made it and surpassed it. I realize I would need to adjust my leveling goals a bit beyond 60, possibly to 5 levels per week.

Outland does level faster particularly with flying mounts being available at 60 instead of 70 when the Burning Crusade was originally released. However, I've only previously leveled in Northrend once, and that was with an alliance toon. Now that I'm back home on the horde side, I don't know the horde quests or lore in terms of Northrend, so I'll be taking it slower than I've been. Though once, I get to 80, my hard work and perseverance will be well paid for. I'll be able to work on all the projects that I had originally planned when I was still on Blade's Edge (US). Until next...

Implementing A Schedule

It has been a little more than a week since I last popped on here. I need to focus a bit if I plan to use this blog more effectively. I'm planning on instituting a schedule for me to (try to) keep. At least if I have a imposed schedule, then my updates should be more regular. There won't be no need to a length discussion or tirade on my part, just something to say or an update to my toons. With all this being said, I plan to use Tuesday as my weekly toon update since most Tuesdays are downtime for WoW anyway. If I decide to add to the schedule with other days dedicated to other aspects of life, wow, or whatever, then I let everyone know.

I don't have much more to say at the moment except that so far Odlaw, my rogue, has gotten to level 36 as of late yesterday evening. 4 more levels then I'll be able to upgrade my mount so travel will be even that much faster. So until next time, keep grinding away.

I'm Back!

Well, it has been about a week since I restarted my account. I'm currently leveling an undead rogue, named Odlaw, that I had first started briefly before my hiatus. When I left the game, he was at level 6, but over the last week I've managed to get him to level 20 as of last night.

My current plans are to pick up my mount outside of Brill, then head outside of Ratchet to level up my lockpicking which I haven't touch as of yet. I have used the dungeon finder twice since getting to level 15 and used the time to get a feel for grouping as a rogue. That and to pick up a few upgrades on my weapons and armor. As the weeks go by, I'll be using the dungeon finder to offset the standard questing. Throw a few runs through battlegrounds toward the end of the brackets and I should be set for my rogue.

About once a week as I level, I'll pop in with updates on his level and what Odlaw is up to for that given week. In between all this, I plan to comment on current news in the World of Warcraft, give info on mods that I use, have tried, or realy hate, and I will give comments on what pops into my noodle. As of right, I merely wait until the servers are back up. Until next time...
